We are 3 Way Marketing (Pty) Ltd (we call ourselves 3Way) and we care about your personal information. If you are an existing or prospective client of 3Way, or are just visiting our website, then this notice applies to you. It lets you know how we protect your information and respect your privacy.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO

You need to read this Privacy Notice. If you are already a client of 3Way please make sure to also review the contract in place between us as this may contain further information on how we collect and process your information. By giving us your information, you confirm that you have the right to authorise us to process it in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

HOW AND WHEN WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION

We collect your personal information from the first moment you interact with us. Sometimes we collect it directly from you, sometimes we collect it automatically, and sometimes we collect it from other sources such as publicly available websites or from a trusted third party. When we do so, we only use third parties that we have assessed and vetted and are confident have the right in terms of any relevant privacy and data protection laws to pass your information along to us.

You give us your information when:

  • You subscribe to one of our websites,
  • You contact us via our website,
  • We contact you back, either via email, phone or SMS,
  • You enter into an agreement with us, and/or
  • You contact us for support.

We collect your information automatically when:

  • You subscribe to our website,
  • You enter into an agreement with us,
  • You contact us for support, and/or
  • You connect to our systems via API integrations.

WHAT TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

We collect:

  • contact details including name and surname, email address and contact numbers. We need this information to be able to make contact with you, either to respond to a query from our website, approach you with a service offering we think you may be interested in, or to communicate with you after you have become our client.
  • Tracking information, such as your IP address, browser information, location information, URL clickstreams, page response times, how long you stay on our pages, errors, etc. We use this information for analytics which we utilize in order to improve our online presence.

The information that we collect about you is required for us to be able to perform the service you have requested, subscribed or agreed for us to perform. Should you do not provide us with this information it could result in us not being able to provide the services you require.

WHAT WE DON’T COLLECT

We do not collect any “special personal information”, such as religious or philosophical beliefs, race or ethnic origin, trade union membership, political persuasion, health or sex life, biometric information, or offences or alleged offences.

We also do not collect the information of anyone under the age of 18 years. We provide a business-to-business service, aimed at people who are 18 years old or older, and so we do not market to, nor collect the information of, anyone under 18 years of age.

YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we have of yours,
  • Ask what personal information of yours we have sent to our suppliers or any other third parties,
  • Ask us to update, correct, or delete any personal information we have of yours,
  • Object to any processing of personal information we may have of yours,
  • Unsubscribe from any marketing communication we may send you, and
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

When you make any of these requests we will respond as soon as possible, but no longer than 30 days from the date of the request, as there are procedures that we need to follow. We may need to verify your identity to be able to proceed with the request and sometimes we may have other requirements before we can make the changes you request.

THIRD PARTIES WHO MAY PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION

We sometimes make use of trusted suppliers to provide us with certain services, and sometimes we need to supply them with your personal information so that they can provide these services accurately. We fully assess all our suppliers and ensure that they enter into comprehensive agreements so that we are confident that they protect your personal information to the same extent that we do.

We do make use of cloud computing in the form of Microsoft 365 as well Xneelo and Hertzner to store all our data, which results in personal information being stored in the European Union. As the level of protection of personal information in the EU is extremely high we are comfortable using these suppliers, however you may read more about their privacy undertakings here and here.

COOKIES

We do use cookies unless you adjust your browser setting to refuse them. These may be session cookies, which delete themselves when you leave our website, or persistent cookies which don’t delete themselves and allow us to recognise you when you return to our website. 

You can block cookies by activating a setting on your browser allowing you to refuse the setting of cookies. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings.

We utilize the Conversions API (CAPI) to enhance our data collection and analysis capabilities. This technology enables a direct and secure connection between our marketing data and Meta Technologies (Facebook), ensuring the privacy and security of your data.


With the implementation of the CAPI your data will not be shared or stored. It will be used to assist our algorithm in ensuring that our adverts reach you more effectively.

HOW SECURE IS YOUR INFORMATION

We have robust physical, electronic, and operational procedures in place to safeguard all our data, including the personal information of yours that we collect. These procedures are in place to protect your personal information from being disclosed without authorisation, from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, and from being altered or destroyed.
