Accessing new medical insurance customers

The problem

Medical insurance has a unique and specific place in the South African marketplace. While it is a product that everyone wants, the challenge is to market it to those who can afford it. With this context, independent financial services provider Talksure wanted to gain access to new potential customers that they didn’t have the ability to reach in house, in order to market their medical insurance product to them.

The solution

To generate the new medical insurance leads and reach the new customers that Talksure wanted, we proposed using three channels in which we have significant expertise: SMS, warm-up calls and white label web leads. We launched the campaign using these three channels, and over time optimised the base to get conversions above the required percentage. From there, we refined the campaign to focus on customers we knew would be best able to collect on debit order.

The challenges

The results

Since its launch in 2021, the campaign has generated an average of 1000 opt-in medical insurance leads per month, and over 18 000 leads in total. The average conversion rate for the campaign is 20%, and the pest performing campaign converts at 23% and collects at over 80%.
